the Founder

Dr. Divya Negi born and brought up in Dehradun, belongs to Uttarakhand.  She has done her Ph.D. in Commerce from Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna University, Srinagar (Uttarakhand) and has taught undergraduate and postgraduate students across different colleges for more than a decade. She has written two books on youth empowerment. She has also been a guest on All India Radio in various shows for programmes on career guidance and development.

 

​Along with that, she has been actively involved with youth and women through her social activities since the year 2014. In the year 2017, she started her NGO Youth Rocks Foundation (YRF) and started Project Pahal in schools and colleges for developing life skills and employability skills in the students. YRF works for improving employability and to fight depression and suicidal tendencies in students. YRF has conducted around 100 programs across different government and private schools, government and private colleges, Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendras, NGOs etc. in different parts of NCR, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh. Project Pahal has already been conducted in Rajkiya Poorva Madhyamik Vidyalaya, Rajpur Road, Dehradun, Dayanand Kanya Inter College, Subhash Nagar, Dehradun and all girls’ Degree College, Mahadevi Kanya Pathshala (MKPPG) College and other institutions in Dehradun with great success and commendable results.

 

She aims to develop the largest network of volunteers and professionals to help and guide the underprivileged students of schools and colleges, particularly girls and women. She has already touched over 5000 lives through her work for youth and women. Project Muskaan focuses on providing livelihood to the underprivileged women.

 

In May 2023, she was chosen for ‘Prathma Award’ given by Amar Ujala, a prominent media house in India. She was chosen among the 1000 women faces in Asia in the Global Summit by Womennovator in December 2021. She has also been conferred with Tejaswini Samman-2019 for exemplary work for youth empowerment in January 2020, received the distinguished WEF 2019 Award of ‘Iconic Women Creating a Better World for All at the 32nd edition of Women Economic Forum (WEF) 2019 conferred in December 2019 and 9th Annual Santulan Award conferred by Divya Jyoti Jagriti Sansthan in March 2018 for the work done in the field of youth and women empowerment.
