Events & Achievements
1. Project Pahal
Project Pahal is YRF’s flagship initiative focused on skill development for youth and women to promote sustainable livelihoods and socio-economic empowerment. The program integrates computer literacy, financial literacy, and soft-skill training while connecting beneficiaries with employment and entrepreneurship opportunities. Over 50 youth have been linked to self-employment, and more than 500 students and dropouts have been guided toward education and life skills. Regular summer internships and counselling sessions for parents and teachers further strengthen holistic youth development.
2. Project Muskaan
Project Muskaan empowers underprivileged women through skill-based training and entrepreneurship support to help them achieve financial independence. More than 20 women have been directly linked to self-employment, while 200+ have received free training in stitching, handicrafts, and financial literacy. Recently, food-processing training in gluten-free millet bakery products was introduced in Clement Town, aligning with Uttarakhand’s One District Two Products initiative. The project continues to create income opportunities and build confidence among women beneficiaries.
3. Kar Lo Safalta Mutthhi Mein (Dainik Jagran & P&G Project)
Conducted from 2021 to 2023, this project focused on preparing college youth for successful interviews through grooming and personality development sessions. Students were trained in body language, posture, professional appearance, and confidence-building techniques essential for career readiness. The initiative addressed practical gaps not covered in classrooms and received positive feedback from participants. Overall, the project impacted around 900 students across multiple districts of Uttarakhand.
4. Skilling se Swawlamban
Under this ongoing collaboration with F-Tec Skill Development (Foresight Edutech Pvt. Ltd.), YRF conducts outreach programs in Dehradun to promote career-oriented skill awareness. Sessions are organized in schools and colleges to introduce students to emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and digital marketing. The initiative aims to bridge knowledge gaps and encourage youth to pursue future-ready careers. Through awareness and guidance, the project supports informed career decision-making among students.
5. Project Muskaan – Health & Hygiene
This ongoing awareness initiative focuses on educating girls and women about health, hygiene, and personal well-being. Campaigns are conducted across schools, colleges, and residential communities to maximize outreach and sensitization. The sessions address menstrual hygiene, sanitation practices, and preventive health awareness. By breaking taboos and promoting open discussions, the project contributes to improved health outcomes and confidence among women and girls.
6. Project Muskaan – Handmade Artificial Jewellery
This skill-development initiative trains women in artificial jewellery making to promote self-employment and creative entrepreneurship. Around 30 women from Balawala village participated in a one-month training led by expert trainer Mrs. Shobhana Sharma. The trainees learned design techniques and production skills, enabling them to create marketable jewellery products. Items produced during the training have been showcased and sold at exhibitions and stalls, generating income opportunities.
7. Financial Literacy & Awareness Project (ICICI Foundation)
Launched in 2023, this ongoing project aims to enhance financial awareness among diverse community groups. More than 1,500 individuals—including daily wage workers, women, hawkers, salaried professionals, and health workers—have benefited from over 30 sessions. Participants receive guidance on savings, banking services, digital transactions, and financial planning. The initiative strengthens financial inclusion and empowers communities to make informed economic decisions.
8. Project Muskaan – Stitching with Applique Work
This short-term training program was conducted for underprivileged women in Clement Town to teach applique stitching techniques. Participants learned fabric decoration methods that can be applied to garments, home décor, and craft products. The training introduced them to a creative skill with potential income-generation opportunities. By promoting traditional art forms alongside livelihood support, the program contributed to both skill enhancement and empowerment.
